Our StoryIn 1994, Shilda Frost, a nurse with 40 years of experience, founded Second Family, Inc. to care for medically fragile children abandoned in hospitals. Starting with one home, SFI now operates 10 homes, providing 24/7 care for children with special needs. In 2004, it expanded to serve adults over 21 through Second Family Adult Homes.
